Hervey Bay

The pick-up of Woolshed arrives on time, and here we are, in this delightful wooden hostel, with lots of trinkets hanging on the walls, cow skins, traffic signals, compositions of dried flowers, horse harnesses. A little cold at night, though. We requested extra blankets and they gave us some sleeping bags.

HERVEY BAY

Finally one morning where there is nothing to do. I first seeking a photographer, where I get confirmation that my car is kaput (tragedy), and Hannu downloads the memory of the photo.

In the afternoon, we book a whale watching tour for 70 Aud. We have already seen the whales at the Whitsundays, and for free, but we do not know what to do …

It was worth it. First of all, we rode along the famous Indian Head. And for that only I would have been happy to have paid the ticket.

Second, we see a whale! It pulls its nose at least two meters out from the water.

Before that, he swam in every position under and beside the boat, very close to us

Third, a magnificent sunset accompanied our return to the harbour

Milla & Dave, our sailing mates are waiting for us at their home and they want us to sleep there for the night, but we do not want to disturb them.

At the evening, gastronomic experience to be emphasized. If you are in Torquay, (one of the villages that make up Hervey Bay, along with Scarness, Ungara, and Pialba), go to Pepper Bistro of Torquay Hotel. Prices: a breaded chicken breast, huge plate of fries, at 8 Aud. Plus a garlic bread that I dream even now 4 Aud. Hannu is so full he can’t even finish his beer. We roll, it is appropriate to say, outside the restaurant.
